The other side of the Dice

Even before I sleep everynight my mind always makes "Educated Guesses" of what might be the headlines in the next day's news papers. And thats what I cross verify each and everyday in the morning whether my guesses are "educated" enough or not. But off late I dont know why my guesses are slightly off the hook but I am starting to get it completely wrong. Two words which feature in these headings very often is one of the causes for this. COMMUNAL & SECULAR.

I have been trying to understand these from a long time but the newspapers here havent helped me at all. I always find only one Section or rather let me be open on this I always find only the HINDU community pointed at under the so called COMMUNALISM flag. It was "mostly" before but now its "only" hindus. I really dont understand why is this. Just a small clue that a hindu has been involved in a terror plot created waves in the media and they were all over it in a flash. After the Ayodhya verdict a group of hindu lawyers were showing signs of victory and the media made such a great story out of it that one of the national news channels compared them even to KASAB. National security we talk about always and COMMUNALISM is the Biggest Threat to it. I TOTALLY AGREE WITH THAT STATEMENT. And then I look for those COMMUNAL organizations that really are a threat to the society. And to my surprise the only common names I find in the media are the organizations affliated to the Sangh parivar. RSS, Bajrang Dal and thats it. a faint mention of lashkar-e-toiba. hardly i find news about Indian mujahedeen,jaish-e-mohammad,SIMI and the chota mota organization be it any community. But almost each and everyday the newspapers carry articles saying "terrorists detained in link with planned blast" "suspect terrorists arrested for carrying arms" "terrorists identified in link with the terror plots" etc. and the problem is that the media never gives out the name of the terrorist organization to us unlike the way a sadhu yadav or a swamy assemananda gets national attention and also coverage. the problem with indian communalism is pretty simple , if terror attack  is planned on Sachin Tendulkar and is then neutralised , the reception would be totally different depending on who plans it.If the terrorist was a hindu then the headlines would surely read "Hindu terrorists plan to kill sachin". If any other community plans it other than a hindu organization would it alteast make the headings? Can the media use the organization's name as freely as they use RSS. Will there be the same kind of disscussion boards in the country? Is terrorism also commnal or are we making it communal? 'Saffron terror" does it make sense?
Terrorism has no boundaries,no religion,no commnity and no ideology. All the terrorists be it hindu or muslim or sikh or christian they belong to a single community called Terror with the only motive being creating havoc in the nation and unstability. a terrorist is a terrorist anyday and he has no other name or religion. I dont know if terrorism is the biggest threat to the nation or as the press says is it Saffron terror? do we have the guts to point out to a muslim and say he is a terrorist and he is a muslim atleast in India? no...

a sadhu yadav is as much a terrorist as osama bin laden if proved.. she is a terrorist but not a saffron terrorist...  we can never be united in this country but  atleast let us unite all the terrorist under one umbrella and call them terrorists.. Afterall we lose our lives to them and we sacrifice our dear ones let it be under the cover of zihad or saffron... there is only one common word for all such and that is terrorist only without any prefixes or suffixes.. and one such can be defined as the only kind of animal species in this world who is overjoyed by killing people of the race his/her birthgiver belonged to...

hence there is only one side to the dice called terrorist with the other sides manmade for personal interest which spoil the game

  1. very well said..i would like to comment on terrorism..a few years back, when blasts took place in lumbini park and gokul chat, I feared to be in crowded places thinking there might blasts again. I am sure many people might have felt the same way. It is to such an extent that the terrorist organizations occupied the minds of the people. How did they get this much power?these many arms?..did they get them just like that? We are meant to live happily..but why are we living with insecurity? It was almost the same situation during our independence when people feared the English. Then we had LEADERs who sacrificed their lives for their next generation. And now we have the same situation . But we don't have many people who have the guts to sacrifice their lives for the future generations(including me).. This fills me with even great respect towards our freedom fighters who made selfless sacrifice..as u said the PERSONAL INTRESTS of everybody are spoiling the game. May the mothers of my motherland produce LEADERS.
