Kid : hey sid ssup man!!! uve become so lean in a week!!! omg cant believe it.

Sid : I didnt want to but jaundice made me. Cant help !! whats up with you?

Kid : there's somthing big coming up dude. We are on a vacation this summer. even dad's coming. just want to sit with you and chalk out a plan for the tour.

Sid : Vow thats superb. hill stations are ideal in summer but  youll have been to manali last summer itself. What do you have in mind?

Kid : This time a cool pilgrimage covering all the temples on the way. actually want it to be in a circular trip so that we can make the maximum use of the little time we get.

Sid : That'll be great. Only temples or do you want to add something else too?

Kid : yeah all the Churches and famous religious worship places that on the way . I am a Secular Dude.

Sid : Gimme a break now. youre youre wat? The second part of your sentence.. u told something

Kid : Ya, I am a Secular S E C U L A R. And hence I treat all the religions equally.

Sid : haha who told you that treating all religions equally is secularism?

Kid : you dont know that too. May be you dont watch the news all the time where you find politicians shouting at the top of their voices that they are seculars. They say that they love and treat the other religions equally with their own and hence SECULAR.

Sid : oh. so if u are a hindu and shout at the top of your voice " I AM A HINDU"...

Kid : u need not complete your sentence dude, then i am not a secular or thats what the ppl on the tv say.

Sid : AND does defending other religions at the cost of yours make you a secular?

Kid : voo.. i dont know but thats what the seculars keep doing.

Sid : Dont go by them kid. that is not secularism...

Kid : then what is it sid?

Sid : It is respecting the people of other communities also as you treat yours.

Kid : ohh.

Sid : so theres nothing wrong in saying that you are a hindu , being a hindu or for that matter being a muslim or a christian also you can respect other religions

Kid : Oh ok. So then yeah the same with me. I like being a hindu but still i respect people of all communities.

Sid : yeah thats true. It means that you should the entire world with equal eyes let him belong to any race, any country and speak any language. u treat him equal to you.

Kid : wait a minute, ur too fast, so u say that secularism has nothing to do with religion or a region or language??

Sid : no kid .. is too higher than that. if I tell the real meaning or the how a true secular is then its really difficult to even imagine about it.

Kid : Try it out.. il try and understand.......

Sid : Real secularism is treating even the animals or all that are born with the will of the god equally..

Kid : what? u mean treating a lion equal to you is secularism?

Sid : yeah why not.. we belong to the human community and that belongs to the cat community. why shouldn't we treat them equally?

Kid : Ohhk.. so in order to become a secular you need to treat even the animals trees and all equal to you?

Sid : yeah.. these people who claim that they are secular will cut and eat meat and do all kinds of wrong things and still call them seculars.

Kid : yeah thats true.. secularism means believing in oneness of everything without bias. got it, u seem to be right.

Sid : Yeah , it is believing in the oneness and equality of everything in this world including humanbeings trees, animals , birds and even the nature.

Kid : yeah. the moment the word secular is heard these boasters come to my mind. can you gimme a real time example for a secular.

Sid : yeah, why not, Sai Baba was a great secular. Lord Rama showed secularism through his rule. Swamy vivekananda, The great Ramana Maharshi and so many.

Kid : Vow .. sai baba secular?? he always told allah malik..

Sid : isnt it amazing that he used to stay in a mosque but used to attend and celebrate even hindu festivals, he would listen to and attend all irrespective of everything, even birds and animals would sit and eat along with him at the same place and even same plate and he used to treat themselves like he treated himself. And Allah Malik meant "God is our Father" , isnt that real secularism. It means not even knowing the differences between religions,regions , language, race,case etc etc. we Divide and see but he saw everything as a single entity and hence he could see god everywhere. He is a true Secular.

Kid: True, Very true. dont we have seculars in modern times?

Sid : Not many but one that i know off is GANDHI who came very close to being one. May be there are many but i dont know about them.

Kid : then what are the others who claim to be seculars?

Sid : False seculars

Kid : Pseudo seculars

Sid : yeah.

Kid : So what does it take to make a man secular.

Sid : no one can make a secular. u need to be born secular.

Kid : and who do you think is the biggest secular of all??

Sid : GOD

Kid: so that where i want to go for my vacation,

Sid : so that what we will be doing now ..................
